Sri Lanka’s exports approach US$10 billion in first seven months of 2025
Sri Lanka’s export earnings surged to nearly US$ 10 billion in the first seven months of 2025, according to data from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) and Sri Lanka Customs.

Between January and July, total exports spanning both merchandise and services amounted to US$ 9,992.53 million, reflecting a 7.79% year-on-year growth compared to the same period in 2024.

This performance underscores Sri Lanka’s strengthening position in global trade, driven by proactive policy measures, broader market diversification, and improved competitiveness across key export sectors, industry experts said.
