Cathay Pacific expands flight schedule to Colombo with additional services
Hong Kong's flagship airline, Cathay Pacific, has unveiled its new winter schedule for 2024-2025, increasing flights between Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport and Hong Kong. Starting from January 2, 2025, Cathay will operate four return flights per week, up from the current three. This schedule will run until March 1, 2025.
Cathay Pacific also plans to boost services further, offering five weekly return flights from March 2 to March 30, 2025. These flights will be serviced by the airline's Airbus A330, featuring flatbeds in Business Class, along with Premium Economy and Economy options.
Regional General Manager for South Asia, Middle East, and Africa, Rakesh Raicar, commented, “We are thrilled to enhance connectivity between Colombo, Hong Kong, and beyond, offering our customers greater flexibility and choice as we expand our network.”
Passengers will have convenient access to connecting flights at Cathay’s hub in Hong Kong, opening up destinations across the globe. Additionally, the increased flight frequency boosts cargo capacity from Colombo, enabling Cathay Pacific to meet the rising demand for swift and reliable cargo solutions, including priority shipments for the Colombo market.
