CCS introduces the world's first foldable container with five-in-one functionality

Compact Container Systems (CCS) has introduced the SeaFold HC 40’—the world’s first foldable, five-in-one container designed to tackle inefficiencies, cut excess container movements, and significantly reduce carbon emissions across the logistics and transportation chain.

With over 20% of ISO containers returning empty to their origin, the SeaFold 40’ offers a transformative solution, reducing repositioning costs by 56%, storage requirements by 80%, and carbon emissions by as much as 70%.

“Our folded container’s ability to fit five units in the space of a single 40’ HC standard container is a breakthrough, allowing for more efficient container management, optimized storage, and a substantial reduction in emissions,” remarked Charlie Santos-Buch, Chairman and CEO of CCS.

Beyond cost and space savings, SeaFold containers improve operational safety and efficiency across ports, terminals, and depots—especially valuable during peak season, when container congestion is a significant challenge.

Manufactured with top-quality, industry-standard materials, the SeaFold 40’ meets all ISO requirements, has passed water ingress testing, and is fully compatible with standard port lifting equipment, requiring no specialized tools for operation.
