CMA CGM announces the implementation of a congestion surcharge in Mauritius
Due to ongoing port conditions in Mauritius, CMA CGM has announced the introduction of a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) for shipments to the region.
Effective December 15, 2024, and applicable until further notice, this surcharge will be applied to all dry and reefer cargo bound for Port Louis, Mauritius. According to the French ocean carrier, the PCS will amount to approximately $200 per TEU.
This measure is aimed at addressing the challenges posed by congestion and ensuring the continuity of reliable service.
