CMA CGM announces the implementation of port charges across the US East Coast and Gulf regions
CMA CGM has notified its customers of forthcoming adjustments to local port charges at various ports along the US East Coast and Gulf. These revised charges will come into effect on 11 October 2024 and will remain valid until further notice.
The updated Local Port Charge at Origin (LPC01) will apply to all shipments leaving the US East Coast and Gulf, bound for global destinations. The new rates will cover Dry, Reefer, and Special Equipment cargo as follows: US$800 per 20-foot container, US$1,000 per 40-foot container, and US$1,266 per 45-foot container for Dry and Tank cargo.
For Reefer and Special Equipment, including In Gauge and Out of Gauge (OOG) cargo, the charges will be US$1,000 per 20-foot container and US$1,500 per 40-foot container.
In addition, CMA CGM has introduced a Local Port Charge at Destination (LPC51), which will apply to all cargo arriving at US East Coast and Gulf ports from any global origin, with a standard charge of US$1,500 per container.
