CMA CGM introduces a new peak season surcharge for shipments from East Africa, South Africa, and the Indian Ocean to Europe
French ocean carrier CMA CGM has announced the introduction of a peak season surcharge (PSS) for shipments from East Africa, South Africa, and the Indian Ocean to Europe.
Starting from September 15, 2024 (based on the loading date) and continuing until further notice, this surcharge will be applicable to all cargo departing from these regions and heading to North Europe (including the Baltic and Scandinavia), the United Kingdom, West and East Mediterranean, Adriatic, Morocco, North Africa, and the Black Sea.
The surcharge is set at $400 per container.
