COSCO and ONE expand their service offerings in the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent markets

Two of the largest container shipping lines have announced updates to their intra-Middle East and Indian Subcontinent service networks.

Beginning in late October, Ocean Network Express (ONE) will enhance its offerings by incorporating slots from Global Feeder Shipping’s Colombo China Gulf service. Meanwhile, Cosco Shipping Lines has revealed the launch of its OUX service.

These developments aim to strengthen shipping connections within the Gulf-India region, underscoring both companies' dedication to boosting regional trade and improving port accessibility.

ONE's collaboration will involve four vessels, each with an average capacity of 3,100 TEU, and will be branded as the India Coastal Express. The service will include stops at Mundra, Pipavav, Mangalore, Kochi, Colombo, Kattupalli, Visakhapatnam, and return to Mundra, providing extensive connectivity along India’s coastline and key Gulf ports.

In addition, COSCO will introduce the OUX service, as reported by Alphaliner, which will make calls at Abu Dhabi, Sohar, and Ajman before returning to Abu Dhabi. This service will operate weekly using a single 1,000 TEU boxship.
