Cosco Shipping Holdings has secured shareholder approval to proceed with the acquisition of twelve state-of-the-art, methanol-powered container ships, each boasting a capacity of 14,000 TEU.
The vessels, valued at approximately $179.5 million each, will be constructed by Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry (Yangzhou) and are slated for delivery between mid-2027 and early 2029. This strategic investment underscores Cosco's commitment to sustainable maritime innovation and fleet modernization.
