Maersk has named Christopher Cook as the Managing Director for India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka

Maersk has announced the appointment of Christopher Cook as Managing Director for India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, effective October 1st. This move is part of A.P. Moller - Maersk's strategy to reshuffle leadership in one of its most significant growth markets.

Christopher Cook, a British national with 17.5 years of experience at Maersk, previously led the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Qatar cluster. He succeeds Vikash Agarwal, who is leaving Maersk. Cook's previous role saw notable achievements, including advancements in the UAE market through enhanced ocean portfolios and expansions into air freight and contract logistics.

Richard Morgan, MD of Maersk Indian Subcontinent, Middle East, and Africa, expressed his excitement about Cook's new appointment, stating, "I am thrilled to welcome Christopher to this crucial position. His extensive experience and proven track record will be instrumental in driving our growth in this key market."
