New Surcharge Notice: Work Disruption Fee (WDS) for U.S. East and Gulf Coast!
Hapag-Lloyd AG has implemented a Work Disruption Surcharge (WDS) of USD 1,000 per TEU in response to potential strike risks on the U.S. East Coast. Effective from October 18, 2024, this surcharge will apply to imports destined for the U.S. East and Gulf Coasts from ports in Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa, the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, Oceania, and Latin America. The surcharge will remain in effect until further notice, with the exception of imports from the Far East, which are exempt from the fee.
