Premier Alliance establishes a one-year notice period for leave requests
The agreement for the formation of the Premier Alliance, which includes HMM, Ocean Network Express (ONE), and Yang Ming, has been officially submitted to the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC). This strategic partnership, set to commence in February 2025, will enhance cooperation among the three companies across key East-West shipping routes, including connections from Asia to both North America and Europe.
The Premier Alliance aims to build upon their existing collaborations, expanding service offerings and operational efficiency in major trade lanes. This announcement follows a significant restructuring of alliances in the shipping industry, particularly as Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk forge their own separate partnership
