PSA and Evergreen Partner to Launch Joint Venture for Container Terminal Operations in Singapore

PSA Singapore (PSA) and Evergreen Marine Corporation (EMC) have entered into a joint venture in Singapore to enhance operational efficiency and foster greater synergies in container terminal operations.

The new joint venture terminal, scheduled to begin operations by the end of 2024, will provide long-term terminal capacity to support EMC’s expanding global fleet at PSA Singapore.

The two companies are committed to strengthening their partnership by focusing on improving operational performance, advancing digital innovation, and driving sustainability initiatives.

“We are excited to form this strategic joint venture with EMC, further building on our strong, longstanding relationship. This collaboration will allow us to meet the evolving demands of the maritime industry. By combining our expertise and capabilities, we are confident that this partnership will deliver increased value and deepen synergies between both organizations over the long term,” said Nelson Quek, Regional CEO of Southeast Asia at PSA International.

With a shared commitment to technological advancement, PSA and EMC aim to consistently provide exceptional service and exceed customer expectations.

“Environmentally friendly ships and efficient terminals are central to our operations. As our business grows, we seek like-minded partners to develop high-efficiency terminals in key locations. The launch of Evergreen Marine’s first joint venture terminal with PSA marks an important milestone. It not only strengthens our operations in Asia but also signals the start of a deeper global partnership,” said Y.I. Chang, Chairman of EMC.
