In a momentous event that promises to redefine the logistics landscape in Sri Lanka, the groundbreaking new platform SCLOE was officially launched on 23rd July 2024. This innovative project, nearly a year in the making, is the brainchild of co-founders Mr. Charitha De Silva and Mr. Farhaan Jayman, who serves as CEO and COO respectively.

SCLOE represents a significant technological leap for the Sri Lankan logistics community. By effectively integrating various stakeholders, including exporters, importers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, and agents, SCLOE aims to revolutionize the way logistics is conducted online. Remarkably, SCLOE might be the first platform of its kind globally.

"We have envisioned a space where technology meets logistics and where user experience, or rather customer experience, is paramount," said Mr. Charitha De Silva during the launch event. "Our platform is designed to integrate the Sri Lankan logistics community with the digital world, making it the first of its kind in the country."

SCLOE addresses key challenges faced by three main groups in the logistics industry:
Group 1: Exporters, importers, and traders
Group 2: Forwarders and logistics service providers
Group 3: Carriers such as shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, and agents

"We connect these groups digitally on this platform to inquire and quote online for international freight and logistics," explained Mr. Farhaan Jayman. "Additionally, we offer features such as promotions, classifieds, chats, forums, and many more to support the logistics community."

It is important to note that SCLOE is not a freight forwarder, shipping line, or airline, but a digital company connecting parties involved in international freight and logistics.

The platform's core values center around creating better digital connections, enhancing rate transparency, ensuring user-friendliness, maintaining uniformity, and building sustainability across supply chains.

Mr. Farhaan Jayman highlighted the forward-thinking approach of SCLOE, "This launch is just the beginning. As we move forward, we are committed to continuously evolving and improving SCLOE, driven by your feedback and the ever-changing landscape of technology."

The event was graced by Mr. Jagath Pathirane, a veteran in the logistics industry, as the esteemed chief guest. His support and guidance were instrumental in bringing SCLOE to fruition. In his address, Mr. Pathirane lauded the platform's potential to transform logistics operations in Sri Lanka, bringing efficiency, transparency, and sustainability to the forefront.

The launch event saw a gathering of key stakeholders, industry experts, and enthusiastic attendees who are keen to witness the transformation SCLOE promises to deliver.

As the platform goes live on 1st of August 2024, the co-founders invite the logistics community to explore, engage, and experience the future of logistics with SCLOE. "Join us on this exciting journey," Mr. De Silva and Mr. Jayman jointly expressed.

With SCLOE now functioning, the Sri Lankan logistics sector is poised for a digital revolution that will streamline operations, enhance collaboration, and set new standards in the industry.
