Sri Lankan Airlines assumes responsibility for the maintenance operations of Jetstar Asia

SriLankan Engineering has entered into a long-term line maintenance agreement with Jetstar Asia, enhancing its role as a leading provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services. Under this agreement, SriLankan Engineering will offer its world-class expertise to Jetstar Asia, ensuring that the airline's fleet receives exceptional care in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

In a statement, SriLankan Engineering highlighted its exclusive EASA-approved hangar and component shop facilities in Colombo, which will deliver rapid solutions for any MRO needs. This partnership is a significant step in bolstering SriLankan Engineering's standing as a premier MRO provider in the region and adds another esteemed partner from Southeast Asia to its portfolio.

The partnership aims to contribute to safer skies and smoother flights for millions of passengers. Jetstar Asia, based in Singapore, commenced its scheduled flight operations between Sri Lanka and Singapore in November, operating five return flights each week with a fleet of Airbus A320s.
