X-Press Feeders has placed an order for six additional 11,000 TEU dual-fuel container vessels at Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding, further advancing its commitment to methanol as a key component in its decarbonization strategy. By opting for methanol-powered ships, X-Press Feeders continues to diversify its clean energy investments while positioning itself for a low-carbon future.
At the Singapore International Bunkering Conference and Exhibition, Vijayachelvan Silva Raju, Head of Global Operations, reaffirmed the company's confidence in methanol as a long-term solution, stating that X-Press Feeders is convinced "methanol is here to stay." This move highlights the company's proactive approach to sustainable shipping solutions while meeting future environmental regulations.
